THE TICKET OF MOVIE

Last week I went to the theatre. It was the only theatre at my town. I had 1 had no idea about the movie I would like to watch and I did not know the schedule of that theatre. So that, I just wanted to come and see if there was any good movie.

I parked my motorcycle at the parking area and I walked slowly at the hall of the theatre. I took my ticket on my wallet and go to the information section to ask about how to use the ticket that day. Unfortunately, I missed it. The ticket was already expired 2 days before.

I went home and I was very disappointed about that.

TIKET BIOSKOP

Minggu lalu aku pergi ke bioskop. Bioskop itu merupakan satu-satunya bioskop yang ada di kotaku. Aku memiliki satu tiket gratis untuk menonton satu judul film. Aku tidak tahu film apa yang akan aku tonton dan aku sama sekali tidak tahu jadwal film yang akan ditayangkan di bioskop itu. Maka dari itulah, aku hanya ingin datang saja dan melihat-lihat jikalau ada film yang bagus.

Aku memarkir motorku di area parkir lalu berjalan perlahan di hall bioskop itu. Aku keluarkan tiketku dari dalam dompet lalu pergi menuju ke bagian informasi untuk menanyakan penggunaan tiket tersebut. Sayang sekali, aku melewatkan kesempatan tersebut. Tiketku telah hangus sejak dua hari sebelumnya.

Aku pulang ke rumah dan sangat kecewa dengan kejadian itu.

Flight Att : “I would be happy to help you clarify anything you need help with.”

Passenger : “Could you help me find out where my nearest exit is?”

Flight Att : “There is a card in your seat pocket that shows you where your nearest exit is.

Yours is two rows in front of you.”

Passenger : “Where is my oxygen mask that you were talking about?”

Flight Att : “Your oxygen mask is above you, next to the reading light. It will drop down when you need it.”

Passenger : “I am concerned about landing in the water.”

Flight Att : “The life jackets are under your seat. You can also use your seat cushion as flotation device.”

Passenger : “What is the most important thing we can do to stay safe?”

Flight Att : “The most important thing you can do is keep your seatbelt fastened when the captain asks you to”

Passenger : “It seems really windy outside.”

Flight Att : “The wind won’t be a problem. If you fall asleep, keep it fastened loosely around you in case we hit turbulence unexpectedly.

Past tense digunakan untuk mengungkapkan suatu kejadian yang bermula dan
berakhir pada waktu lampau.

B. The Uses of Simple Past Tense.
1. Untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan pada waktu tertentu dimasa lampau.

- My families lived in Bandungrejo 5 years ago.
- She went to Surabaya yesterday.
- They discussed about English Lesson last week.
- It rained heavily yerterday
2. Untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan kejadian yang berulang – ulang atau telah menjadi kebiasaan di waktu lampau.

§ He used to smoke, but now he doesn’t. (Dulu dia merokok, tapi sekarang dia tidak merokok)

§ The students used to walk to school.

§ My mother used to prepare breakfast every morning.

C. Adverb of Time

Adverb of time yang biasa digunakan dalam Simple Past Tense:

a. Yesterday = kemaren

Yesterday morning : kemarin pagi

Yesterday afternoon : kemarin siang/sore

Yesterday evening : kemarin sore/petang

Yesterday night : kemarin malam

Last week : minggu lalu

Last month : bulan lalu

Last year : tahun lalu

A few days ago : beberapa hari yang lalu.
